Position Summary

The Parts Runner will be responsible for delivering parts, as needed, for all field employees. This includes loading/unloading trucks, delivering tilt trucks, general cleaning in shop, correctly tying down truck loads, ability to adapt to change depending on the day and keeping open communication with warehouse manager.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and comply with all Ables safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including the Ables Vision, Mission and Values
  • Embrace and promote the Ables culture in all day-to-day activities: foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with Ables values
  • Ensure customer requirements are achieved
  • Cleaning up : Police property grounds and buildings to pick up all trash and debris, daily, Sweeping warehouse floors as needed
  • Deliver parts as needed in a timely manner: To all field employees and Deliver any returns as needed, Supply House Pick ups
  • Assisting the warehouse manager, and warehouse clerks with any assigned duties as needed - Checking in all materials: Tagging and Putting away on shelves
  • Ensure all Fleet is put away and locked at the end of each day
  • Check and make sure all Conex’s are locked at the end of each day
  • Assist warehouse clerk in ensuring bull pins are locked each day (back up)
  • Maintain good attitude no matter the job duties assigned during a given day
  • Remain self-aware and understand the importance of being on time
  • Do what is needed to complete all tasks to ensure a high functioning warehouse Qualification/Skills/Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license required

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The physical demands for this position are moderate. Must be able to use standard office equipment such as telephone, computer, cell phone, printer etc. Must be able to use equipment such as lifts, forklifts, ladders, etc. Must be able to lift and carry items up to 51 lbs. on a regular basis.

Additional Considerations

Working Conditions: This position works in the Warehouse where temperatures can be extreme at times. There is a controlled office climate within a portion of the warehouse. Mental Requirements: Self-motivated and able to handle rapidly changing priorities and several tasks simultaneously. Must be able to respond to difficult situations with customers and co-workers with high level of professionalism. Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors and co-workers. Must be able to always follow safety guidelines. Must have ability to manage and lead effectively. Internal Relationships: Communicates and interacts with employees on all level in the office. Sets an example for employees in the company. Keeping information organized and relaying it to upper management in a timely manner will help keep position efficient. External Relationships: The title will have some level of contact with customers and vendors and will be required to always maintain professional communication and appearance during work hours.
